I have finally sat with my lap top and mimicked the sequence using the up, down and enter keys to get it sorted. I had tried this before but I am running XP on the desktop (which is the one with the problem) and have Vist on the laptop and so the sequence and icons are differnt but I have actually just fluked it! thanks for the forum. I can only see icons and no text. I can see the start icon but once I have clicked on that I have 2 columns of icons. Whatever I click on I see plenty of icons but no text to then selct and change any settings……… I have been working on this for hours over many days trying to re set my defaults. Any further suggestions would be wonderful. Thank you so much.
