I get the following error whenever I close a page down from Internet Explorer. I press OK and close down “google”. When I open it up it continues OK.

Application Error
The instruction at \”0x749860b0\” referenced memory at \”0×00000000\”. The memory could not be \”read\”.
Click on OK to terminate the program

Again this sounds like a spyware problem. You need to scan for an infection.
